The death toll from tribal fighting in Raqqa has risen to 9, with more than 20 wounded, some of them critically.

Nine dead and more than twenty injured have been recorded as the result of civil conflicts in Al-Hamrat, an eastern Rukarian town.

Nine persons were killed and more than twenty others were injured, according to sources on Kurdistan Street; one of them was in serious condition. Three of the injured were sent to hospitals since their injuries were somewhat severe.

According to the sources, the conflicts started when Al-Madlaj clan members stormed Al-Jamasa clan homes in the Hamrat Balasim district of eastern Raqqa countryside. This attack came after the murder of pharmacist Abdullah Al-Shanan.

Mahdi Al-Shalash, Badr Musa Al-Hadid, and Ahmed Suleiman Al-Hadid pointed out that clan conflict still exists in the area.
