Several SDF members were killed in clashes with tribal forces in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside.

Local sources verified to KurdStreet that over the previous two days, tribal forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) had intense skirmishes in the eastern Deir ez-Zor region that claimed numerous SDF members’ deaths.

Three SDF personnel were slain, according to these sources, when tribal fighters targeted their car close to the town of Hajin.

Without adding more information, they pointed out that the SDF, for its part, declared the deaths of its members and released their names in a statement characterizing the tribal fighters as Syrian regime mercenaries attempting to compromise the security and stability of the area.

Additionally mentioned by the SDF was the death of a fourth comrade in an accident while serving in the Hasakah countryside town of Abu Rasin.

Tribal groups attacked various SDF military sites and checkpoints in the northeastern Deir ez-Zor region last week at several towns and villages including Bariha, Al-Sabha, Al-Jasmi, and Daman.
